Cummings missed the entire 2005/06 season with a broken leg |
Warren Cummings has signed a new two-year deal with Bournemouth. The 26-year-old defender has the option to stay for a further one year and chairman Jeff Mostyn said: "We're absolutely delighted.
"To have secured his services in circumstances where we know some top clubs have been after his signature is a real vote of confidence.
"We've put a lot of effort into securing his signature and other clubs had offered him considerable money."
Meanwhile, defender Shaun Cooper was set to undergo a groin operation on Tuesday, but hopes to return in time for pre-season training.
Cherries physio Steve Hard said: "He's been feeling the problem for the last few weeks.
"We've waited to see how it's developed, but it hasn't settled down."
