Chairman Abdul Jaffer says Bournemouth will not be too hasty in replacing Doncaster-bound boss Sean O'Driscoll. "We wish Sean all the best, and we hope we can carry forward the foundations he has laid," Jaffer told BBC Sport.
"Everybody inside the club who's interested will apply, but we'll also be advertising it - and I've already been told of people who are interested.
"Hopefully we'll be inundated with people applying - but we're not going to rush the process."
O'Driscoll announced on Friday that he and assistant Richard O'Kelly would be taking over at Doncaster after the Cherries' home game against Crewe on Saturday.
Head of youth Joe Roach and goalkeeping coach Stuart Murdoch will take temporary charge of team affairs for Tuesday's game at Brighton.
