Sotnick said he was stepping down with "great sadness" |
Boston United chairman Jon Sotnick has resigned from his position, reports BBC Radio Lincolnshire. Sotnick has also stepped down as chairman of the League Two club's holding company Lavaflow Ltd.
Director of football Jim Rodwell is set to replace Sotnick as chairman, with Philip Hanby becoming vice-chairman.
Sotnick said he was leaving with "great sadness", but insisted that the boardroom changes will not affect the club's plans to move to a new stadium.
"I would have really liked to have completed the job I started," he told the club website.
"But the facts are that Boston United are unable to remunerate me, and having dedicated the last two-and-a-half years to this club, I have to think of my own family and take steps to ensure that they are looked after."
Sotnick took over the York Street club in February 2004.
