The South Korean is preparing to appear at next year's World Cup finals
Bolton have signed South Korean winger Lee Chung-Yong from FC Seoul for an undisclosed fee after he impressed during a loan spell at the club.
The 21-year-old, who has signed a three-year deal at the Reebok Stadium, becomes Bolton's fifth signing of the summer.
"Lee is another good addition to our squad," said Bolton boss Gary Megson.
"He has got pace and ability and it is great that we have finally been able to get him."
The winger had been on trial at the club and is available for Bolton's opening match of the season at home to Sunderland on Saturday.
"It is going to be a big challenge for him because he is coming to a new country and a new culture and he will be facing the demands of the Premier League," added Megson.
"It will take time for him to settle but we will be making sure that he is fully supported as he makes that transition."
