Davies came off after 58 minutes against Newcastle |
Bolton have been dealt a blow with the news that Kevin Davies may be sidelined for six weeks. The 30-year-old suffered a torn hamstring in Bolton's 3-1 opening day defeat by Newcastle and was replaced by new signing Heidar Helguson.
Manager Sammy Lee said: "It's a massive blow as he's such an influential player but it will give somebody else an opportunity to stake their claim."
Striker Ricardo Vaz Te will have a scan on Monday on a foot injury.

The Portuguese forward limped off shortly after half-time on Saturday and is set to join Davies on the sidelines when Bolton face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Wednesday.
That could mean a recall for El-Hadji Diouf, who has expressed his disappointment at being left out against Newcastle.
