Bolton captain Jay-Jay Okocha has put contract talks on hold until the end of the season because he wants to focus on matters on the pitch not off it. The Nigerian international says his priority is helping the club end their run of seven games without a victory.
Okocha, out of contract in the summer, told BBC GMR: "I've decided to leave everything until the end of the season.
"I am not under any pressure to make a decision. I just want to get my form back and don't want any distractions."
The Wanderers midfielder has struggled to find his best form since returning from the African Cup of Nations.
He added: "I am still a Bolton player and I just have to focus on the remaining games and give my all. Then we will see what will happen."
Okocha's decision will be a disappointment for Bolton chairman Phil Gartside, who has made it clear the club are keen to keep Okocha beyond his current deal.
