Blackpool have swooped to sign Oldham Athletic striker Lee Hughes on loan until the end of the season.
Hughes, 32, is the Latics' top scorer so far this season, scoring 18 goals to keep the club in touch with the League One play-off race.
He joined Oldham in the summer of 2007, following his release from prison.
The former West Brom and Coventry striker was sentenced to six years in jail in 2004 after being found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving.
Hughes began his career with Kidderminster before earning a move to the Baggies in 1997 for £350,000.
He signed for Coventry for £5m in 2001 but moved back to West Brom a year later for a fee of £2.5m.
