Blackpool have completed the double signing of midfielder Jermaine Wright and striker Steve Kabba.

Wright, 32, arrives on a free transfer from Southampton and has signed a one-year contract, with the option of a further year.

The Seasiders have taken 27-year-old Kabba on a six-month loan from Watford until 1 January.

Wright told the club's website: "This is a good challenge for me. I want to give it my best."

And the midfielder feels he has joined a club going in the right direction.

"I met a few people behind the scenes and felt it was a close knit and well run club and everyone knows what their objectives are for the new season," he said.

"I was shocked to be honest with the way they played football. They're not a big name but they upset a few big names last season."
