Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed that David Dunn will miss the remaining four games of the season after an operation on his Achilles.
The 29-year-old midfielder, who has been plagued by injuries this season, was used as substitute in the victory against Wigan on Sunday.
Allardyce said: "David has not been able to overcome the pain he has suffered in recent weeks.
"So we have had to make the big decision to let him have an operation."
