Brown pulled out of a Swansea move at the last minute |
Gillingham's out-of-contract goalkeeper Jason Brown has joined Premiership side Blackburn on a four-year deal. Wales international Brown, 24, last week turned down a move to Swansea when Rovers came in with a late offer.
"It shows anything can happen in football, it's been a whirlwind," he told Blackburn's website. "It hasn't sunk in but I can't wait to start."
Meanwhile, chairman John Williams told the BBC that Blackburn have not made an approach for Preston's David Nugent.
Brown, who was unable to agree a new deal to stay with Gillingham, won his first senior Wales cap in May's friendly against Trinidad & Tobago.
A former Charlton Athletic trainee, Brown joined Gillingham in 2001 and went on to make 137 appearances for the club.
His Ewood Park contract officially starts on 1 July.
