Striker Matt Derbyshire has signed a new two-year deal to keep him at Blackburn Rovers until June 2008. The 20-year-old made his senior debut against Fulham in May 2005 and started last season on loan at Plymouth.
After being recalled to Ewood Park, Derbyshire enjoyed a successful loan spell with League Two side Wrexham in the second half of last season.
And after scoring 10 goals in 16 matches for the Dragons, Rovers have now moved to extend his contract.
