Birmingham City too good to go down - Alexander Hleb
Belarus international Hleb joined Birmingham on loan from Barcelona
Alexander Hleb believes Birmingham City have enough quality to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.
Blues have taken just three points from their last five Premier League matches and are two points off the bottom of the table after losing 2-0 to Everton.
"We're good enough," the Belarus midfielder told BBC WM. "We need to find our game and our confidence.
"The team can fight and can play football, but we need a little bit more from the team and the team from me."
Hleb has yet to win in the Premier League for Birmingham, having joined the club on loan from Barcelona on transfer deadline day.
Blues' only league win of the season so far was a 2-1 victory over Blackburn on 21 August.
Since then Alex McLeish's side have failed to score a goal in the Premier League at St Andrew's.
They played out goalless draws with Liverpool and Wigan before the defeat against Everton on Saturday.
An own goal from Roger Johnson and a late header from Tim Cahill condemned Birmingham to their first home defeat for over a year.
"It's very difficult to lose but that's football," added the former Arsenal midfielder. "We need to learn to play more aggressive football at home and try to score."
