Queudrue targets Blues title win

Birmingham defender Franck Queudrue has set his sights on overhauling Championship leaders Wolves before the end of the season.

The two sides meet at St Andrew's on 6 April, with Blues trailing their West Midlands rivals by five points.

"I think we're still in contention to claim the title depending on Wolves and on the game in two weeks from now," Queudrue told BBC Midlands Today.

"Wolves have made a little gap but nothing's finished."

Queudrue, 30, has re-established himself in manager Alex McLeish's starting XI after covering for the injured Liam Ridgewell and David Murphy.

And he is now eager to make a return to the Premier League with Blues.

There's no easy games all season, every team wants to beat Birmingham because we're the favourites

"It's the best place to play, the Premier League," he added.

"I learned a lot when I spent seven years in the Premier League but I've learned a lot as well in the Championship.

"It's a different mentality, there's no easy games all season, every team wants to beat Birmingham because we're the favourites."

The Frenchman has made 24 appearances for McLeish this season, scoring two crucial goals, the winners against Charlton in November and Bristol City earlier this month.
