McFadden could also miss Scotland's games with Holland and Iceland
Birmingham will be without Scotland forward James McFadden for several weeks after he damaged his knee in the 1-0 victory over Derby at St Andrew's.
Blues manager Alex McLeish told BBC WM: "He's going to be out for a few weeks now. He's hurt a medial ligament.
"I felt he was desperate to atone for missing much of the first half [of the season] with injuries and illness. It's just not been his season at all."
The 25-year-old could miss Scotland's games with Holland and Iceland.
He is a doubt for the games on 28 March and on 1 April respectively.
McLeish reports that Stephen Kelly is recovering well from an ankle injury but says the club has suffered badly with injuries this season.
"The physios have been working round the clock with people like [Garry] O'Connor and Damien Johnson, and the operations to four or five players. That takes its toll," he said.
