Maik Taylor could not prevent Preston's injury-time winner at Deepdale
Birmingham City keeper Maik Taylor says Blues can recover from their last-ditch defeat at Preston in Saturday's meeting of second v third against Reading.
Blues lost ground in the Championship race, falling six points behind Wolves.
But Taylor told BBC Midlands Today: "Our home form especially has been very good, so we're confident of taking anyone on at the moment.
"They don't come much bigger than Reading in the Championship. And it's going to be a really difficult game."
Blues' defeat to an injury-time goal at Deepdale came on the back of squeezing past Plymouth Argyle 1-0 in another long-distance away game four days earlier.
"We've just had two extremely difficult away games with a lot of travelling at Plymouth and Preston," added Taylor. "Before last week we'd probably have taken four points, so to lose a goal right at the death was a bitter blow.
