Mido has struggled for opportunities at Spurs |
Birmingham are trying to revive the 6m deal to sign Spurs striker Mido, who has also been courted by Sunderland. A deal with Spurs for the 24-year-old striker had been agreed only for the move to collapse two weeks ago.
Blues boss Steve Bruce said: "It was all sorts of things like length of contract, stipulations in the contract.
"Those seem to have been ironed out so, if talks are ongoing again, then great. We made the best offer we can to the player. We'll see what happens."
Bruce added: "It'll be a permanent transfer if it happens. That's where it got clouded
initially.
"We were thinking we were going to get a loan deal for a year but it became
obvious Tottenham didn't want that.
"They wanted a permanent deal which we are trying to resurrect."
Mido will be Birmingham boss Steve Bruce's biggest buy of the summer so far if the deal goes through.
