Watkins signed for Cheltenham Town in 2008

Bath City have extended the loan of Cheltenham Town winger Marley Watkins by a further two months.

The 20-year-old initially joined the Blue Square Bet Premier side in September and has started four games.

"Marley has done really well during his first month on loan and Bath are very pleased with him," Cheltenham boss Mark Yates told the club website.

"The move has been beneficial for all concerned and I have been able to see an improvement in him already."

Yates continued: "At this time both we as a club and Marley as a player will gain far more from him playing regular first team football against good quality opposition than from him sitting on the bench here."

Cheltenham will retain an option to recall Watkins, who will not be allowed to play for Bath in the FA Cup, at 24 hours' notice.
