Boss Bayliss urges fans to back Barrow in the league
More than 7,000 fans from Barrow attended the Sunderland game
Barrow joint-manager Dave Bayliss has called on the 7,200 supporters who made the trip to Sunderland on Saturday to bolster their regular support.
Gates at Holker Street have hovered around the 1,500 mark this season and Bayliss believes attracting new fans would bring rewards on the pitch.
"It's a rallying cry," Bayliss told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"It does affect our budget and what we do on the field. Hopefully they'll come back and watch us again."
With the club's exit from the FA Cup, Barrow's attentions now turn to the FA Trophy and a trip to Maidenhead next weekend.
Having beaten Kettering in the first round last month, Bayliss admits that the Trophy is a priority. And he will be seeking to impress that on the players during the build-up to Saturday's game.
"We've got a massive game on Saturday, which is probably bigger than the FA Cup," he said.
"It's our real chance to go and progress and play at Wembley so it's a real big one for us.
"We have to make sure we get everyone back in on Monday morning and get everyone right for next Saturday."
Meanwhile, Barrow have now signed striker Gregg Blundell from Chester City on a 18-month contract following his initial spell on loan.
