Barnsley make midfielder Hugo Colace available for loan
Colace signed for Barnsley from Newell's Old Boys in June 2008.
Barnsley are looking to offload former player of the year Hugo Colace on loan.
Reds' manager Mark Robins told the Sheffield Star the relationship between the Argentine midfielder and the club was 'not working'.
Colace, 27, scored eight goals in 45 appearances last season, and has been a regular starter this term.
But after last weekend's 4-1 defeat by Leicester City, Robins said substitute Colace had not done himself 'any justice whatsoever' after coming on.
"We have to have everybody fighting for the cause and if someone isn't fighting for the cause something will have to be done about it," Robins told BBC Radio Sheffield after the match.
The former Flamengo player, who was originally signed by Barnsley on a free transfer from Newells Old Boys on a three-year deal in June 2008, left the Reds on 30 June last year after failing to renew his contract.
However after turning down the offer of a contract from Crystal Palace he returned to Oakwell on 20 July and signed a new two-year deal.
Barnsley director Don Rowing told BBC Radio Sheffield: "We want him to go to another club to recapture his best form. There hasn't been any fall-out as such, but we need our players to be motivated."
