Barnsley have allowed teenager Rhys Meynell to join Unibond First Division side Ossett Albion on loan for the rest of the season. However, the Championship side will have a 24-hour recall on Meynell once he has spent 28 days with Ossett.
The 19-year-old is a regular in the Tykes' reserve side, but is still awaiting his first-team debut.
A product of the youth set-up at Oakwell, he agreed a one-year extension to his scholarship last summer.
