Barnsley captain secures new deal
Skipper Paul Reid is the first of Barnsley's out-of-contract players to re-sign with the club, penning a new two-year deal at Oakwell.

The 24-year-old defender captained the Tykes to victory against Swansea in the League One play-off final.

"I am delighted to commit myself to Barnsley and have the chance of playing Championship football for the next two seasons," he told the club website.

"I was offered more lucrative contracts elsewhere, but I wanted to stay."
