Hyde was relegated from the Blue Square Premier with Woking last term

Barnet have named Micah Hyde as their new captain following the departure of Neil Bishop to Notts County.

The 34-year-old midfielder joined the Bees in the summer from Woking, having previously played for Cambridge, Watford, Burnley and Peterborough.

Manager Ian Hendon told BBC London 94.9: "Micah's going to take that mantle and be club captain this year.

"He's the type of lad who works hard, organises, he's the same day in day out and you know what you'll get from him."
