Defender Shane Lowry has signed a new two-year deal with Aston Villa.
The 20-year-old, included in Australia's provisional World Cup squad, has agreed to stay at Villa Park until June 2010.
Lowry, a Villa youth product, made his first team debut against Rapid Vienna in last season's Europa League.
He went on to spend loan spells at Plymouth and Leeds - helping Simon Grayson's side win promotion from League One.
