Wade Small hopes to impress for Aldershot in FA Cup
Small is still trying to cement a first-team place at Aldershot
Aldershot striker Wade Small is hoping he will get a chance to impress for the Shots when they face Brentford in the FA Cup this weekend.
The 26-year-old arrived in the summer after being released by Chesterfield, but has made just four starts, scoring once as a substitute against Hereford.
Small told BBC Surrey: "I've waited a long time to be part of the team. I've been getting sniffs here and there.
"I just want more consistency in my football and I want to play more too."
Small replaced Marlon Jackson up front in the second half in Tuesday's 2-2 draw at Edgar Street and made an impact by poaching a late equaliser.
Wade has basically banged my door down tonight when he came on. I think he lifted us at the end, and he's taken a great finish

"I've always been a striker, but I've obviously been put out on the wing, like in my MK Dons days, but I prefer up front definitely," he added.
With Marvin Morgan still suspended for the FA Cup trip to Brentford, Aldershot manager Kevin Dillon admits Small has made a claim to start.
"Wade has basically banged my door down tonight when he came on. I think he lifted us at the end, and he's taken a great finish.
"A typical goalscorer's goal which I love. I love them scoring goals like that. Sometimes they're better than Marvin's curling left-footers into the top left-hand corner."
