Aldershot club captain Adam Hinshelwood is relishing the chance to win back his first team place against Barnet.
The 25-year-old arrived from Brighton in the summer, but has twice lost his centre-half spot after knee injuries.
Hinshelwood told BBC Surrey: "You can't fault the lads since they came in. Blackie (Chris Blackburn) and Charlesy (Anthony Charles) have been superb.
"It's the sign of a good squad when you get your chance to have the shirt, you've got to make sure you take it."
Hinshelwood is confident the team have managed to put their 6-1 defeat by Burton Albion behind them.

"To be honest, we've got it out of our system," he said.
"We talked over it for a couple of days after and that was it - finished - took the positives out of it.
"Before that we were on a good run and it's important that we bounce back from a defeat."
