Former Rushden boss Graham Westley would be keen to talk to Aldershot about the vacant manager's position, reports BBC Southern Counties Radio. Terry Brown left the Shots after five years earlier this week, with his former assistant Martin Kuhl taking caretaker charge.
Kuhl told BBC SCR he also wants the job: "I've worked with youth, reserve and first-teams. I think I'm ready.
"The club can't promise me anything but I'd love to give it a go."
Westley, who was sacked by Rushden & Diamonds in February after just two months in charge, has also previously managed Stevenage and Aldershot's local rivals Farnborough.
