Aldershot manager Terry Brown will step down from his post after Tuesday's Conference game against Weymouth. Brown, who has been in charge of the Shots since March 2002, wants a break from football for personal reasons.
The 54-year-old said: "This is the right time for both parties to move on - the decision for me to leave is by amicable agreement."
Shots coach Martin Kuhl will take over as caretaker manager until a permanent successor for Brown is found.
