Accrington chief executive Rob Heys has confirmed the club are unlikely to sign former midfielder Gary Roberts.

Stanley made a tentative enquiry for 21-year-old who signed a permanent deal for Ipswich in January 2007.

Meanwhile, Accrington have signed a new two-year shirt sponsorship deal with Combined Stabilisation.

The five-figure sum, which will see the company's logo on both home and away kits until the summer of 2010, eases the club's financial worries.
