Inverness see off Raith
Inverness CT 2-0 Raith Rovers

Barry Robson and Dennis Wyness propelled Inverness into the fourth round of the Tennents Scottish Cup with a battling win over Raith.

The home side made an impressive start and Raul Ojeda made a fine save when Paul Richie got on to the end of a defence-splitting pass from Robson in the 12th minute.

Rovers were quick to retaliate and Mark Brown made a good stop from Ryan Blackadder, while Andy Smith headed inches wide from a Paul McManus cross.

Robson broke the deadlock from the penalty spot on 65 minutes after Ojeda brought down Wyness.

And Wyness secured the victory for Thistle with his 20th goal of the season when he got his head to a cross from Robson five minutes later.

Inverness CT: Brown, Mann, McCaffray, Golabek, Tokely, Duncan, Hart, McBain, Robson, Ritchie, Wyness. Subs: Keogh, Christie, Stewart, Gilfillan, Fraser.

Raith Rovers: Ojeda, Patino, Ellis, Brady, Dennis, Nanou, Paquito, Blackadder, Smith, Calderon, McManus. Subs: Gonzalez, Fyfe, Hampshire, Carrigan, Hawley.

Referee: D Smith
