1700: That's all folks! Cheers again for all your lively banter. I'll leave you with a solid-gold nugget of wisdom from that arch football sage Garth Crooks: "Football's football; if that weren't the case, it wouldn't be the game it is." Eat yer heart out Oscar Wilde!
Ta ra for now.

1657: "Much better from the Hibees today. Three much needed points. And now starting to take our opportunities in front of goal." Macker100 on My Sport Join the debate
1655: Little John Fleck was outstanding for Rangers today. He gamboled around the field like an excitable spring lamb. The youngster's sparkling, hyperactive, ants-in-your-pants display was laced with some flashes of real class. Walter Smith's side close the gap on Celtic to two points at the top of the table.
Gordon Strachan's men will be happily ensconced in a hotel in Aberdeen, preparing for Sunday's jousting session at Pittodrie with Jimmy Calderwood's men of granite. Can the reigning champions restore their five point advantage tomorrow?
1652: Full time at Easter Road - Hibs 2-0 St Mirren. Hibs remove the wheels from the Buddies unbeaten bandwagon with their first win in over a month.
1651: Full time at New Douglas Park - Hamilton Accies 1-0 Inverness CT. Simon Mensing's solitary goal is enough to send Billy Reid's men six points clear of Craig Brewster's ailing Highlanders in the basement battle for survival. Caley Thistle are on a slippery slope to SPL oblivion.
1650:Full-time at Rugby Park - Kilmarnock 0-2 Hearts. Impressive second-half performance gives the Jambos their first league win in six games.
1648: Full-time at Ibrox - Rangers 3-1 Falkirk. The game came alive when both sides were reduced to 10 men. Maybe it helped because there was more space on the pitch?
Falkirk can count themselves very unfortunate to have conceded such a soft penalty and have a man sent off for some piddly nothing challenge on Kris Boyd. But Rangers had the lion's share of possession and were the more eager to be creative, so they deserved the three points.
1647: Goal! Rangers 3-1 Falkirk Seemingly trapped at the left-hand corner flag, Steven Davis nutmegs one Falkirk defender and wriggles past two others before stepping inside and firing a reverse shot low past Olejnik. A wonderful solo goal from the little Northern Irishman puts the cherry on Rangers victory cake.
1645: Nade, again, should have made it 3-0 to Hearts after a Killie player gifts the ball straight to him.
1645: Goal! Hibernian 2-0 St Mirren An 18-yard humdinger from Derek Riordan should seal all three points for Mixu Paatelainen's men.
1644: Hearts strapping forward Christian Nade muscles his way into the Killie box and steps past the last defender but his powder-puff shot is saved easily by the feet of Combe.
1641: Inverness go close again when Ross Tokely's flick on comes off the Hamilton crossbar.
1640: Goal! Kilmarnock 0-2 Hearts A fine header from Christos Karipidis doubles Hearts' advantage and Killie have a mountain to climb. Michael Stewart flights in a free kick which Christophe Berra heads across goal for the Greek to nod home.
1640: Rangers make a change; Steven Whittaker replaces Kris Boyd as Rangers look to consolidate their lead. Falkirk have other ideas and bring on striker Michael Higdon in place of defender Steven Pressley. The Bairns rightfully believe they can still snatch a point from the jaws of defeat.
1639: Inverness brighten up a dour, hard-fought battle at New Douglas Park, with Adam Rooney's blistering effort stinging the hands of Tomas Cerny. The goalkeeper spills the shot, but Hamilton clear the danger.
1638: "Deividas Cesnauskis is brought on as a substitute for Andrew Driver. It would be interesting to see how often a Lithuanian player hasn't started for Hearts." BBC Radio Scotland summariser (and former Hearts boss) Stephen Frail
Does anyone have the answer to Mr Frail's teaser? Join the debate
1637: "How can Rangers let him go, no matter how good the money is?" BBC Radio Scotland commentator David Begg on Kris Boyd
1635: Goal! Rangers 2-1 Falkirk Novo hares down the right wing and arrows a low cross into the dangers are. Olejnik gets a despairing paw to the ball but only succeeds in knocking into the path Kris Boyd who prods the ball over the line.
1632: Sending off. Minutes after blasting a shot miles over Olejnik's bar, Rangers defender Sasa Papac is sent off for a cynical challenge on Mark Stewart. Again, I thought that was a tad harsh from ref Willie Collum.
1631: Kilmarnock bring on Donovan Simmonds for Allan Russell as they search for a leveller against Hearts
1629: And the little striker runs onto Novo's flicked pass on the edge of the Falkirk box but he's brought down by a Bairns defender. Fleck catapulted himself into the air like he was auditioning for The Dying Swan.
1628: "Fleck's been absolutely brilliant. He just looks at home in this Rangers team." BBC Radio Scotland pundit Billy Dodds
1628: Scott Arfield is booked for hauling back Fleck. As Mendes waits to take the resultant free-kick, the largely ineffective Kenny Miller trots off to be replaced by scampering Spaniard Nacho Novo.
1627: "Falkirk are defending really well." BBC Radio Scotland pundit Billy Dodds
They sure are Billy. Rangers are finding it mighty tough picking a hole in the Bairns' massed ranks.
1625: "I think that's the only time we've really seen Bruno Aguiar today." BBC Radio Scotland summariser Stephen Frail
1624: Robert Oljenik leaps like superman to tip Kirk Broadfoot's header past the post.
1623: Kilmarnock's Allan Russell misses a chance for an instant equaliser when he cracks a half-volley over the bar.
1622: Hearts at last break their almost-biblical goal drought. Aguiar's fizzing strike was the first time the Jambos have hit the back of the net in an incredible 487 minutes of play. And it was the visitors' first chance of the entire match.
1620: Goal! Kilmarnock 0-1 Hearts Neat interplay between Michael Stewart and Bruno Aguiar. The pair trade passes on the left flank and Stewart tees up Aguiar who sends a sizzling right-foot drive beyond Combe.
1618: Falkirk are standing firm at Ibrox. Despite their numerical advantage, the home side are struggling to break down tenacious 10-man Bairns.
1616: Over at Easter Road, Hibs' Souleymane Bamba got his head on the end of Derek Riordan's corner, but the Frenchman watches his header come crashing off the post. Not sure if that was an in or outswinger...the corner, that is...
1614: "The driving rain was making the conditions difficult, but now with the wind it is almost impossible." BBC Radio Scotland pundit Craig Paterson at New Douglas Park
1612: "The inswingers always seem to be a bit better than the outswingers." BBC Sport pundit Steve Cowan referring to Hibernian's varying luck from set-pieces against St Mirren at Easter Road.
All together, after three. 1,2,3: "Oh, I'm the king of the inswingers oh, the jungle VIP. I've hit the top and I had to stop and that's what's been bothering me..."
1610: "Red card for Falkirk, typical!" JordanBlack68 on My Sport Join the debate
1608: Sending off. Patrick Cregg is given a straight red card for a two-footed challenge on Pedro Mendes. I thought that was terribly harsh on Cregg. He went in with his studs glinting under the floodlights but it was clumsy rather than malevolent. Poor Falkirk are down to 10-men. Can they hang on for a point?
1607: "I can't understand the critics of Rangers and David Murray. It has to be run as a business and I'm sure at the end of this season this will all be forgotten. Ally's right: it's football that matters and we should be behind our team. That's the definition of a supporter." dudebigiain on My Sport Join the debate
1606: Inverness make their own change, hoping to exploit Garry Wood's pace on the counterattack against the wind. He replaces Andy Barrowman.
1605: Chris Swailes, who had been left out the Hamilton side despite scoring the winner against Ross County last weekend, comes into the defence for the injured David Elebert at half-time.
1604: Olejnik collapses on Fleck's snap-shot. Early second-half effort from the spritely young striker.
1603: And we're away again!
1556: Time for a break; time for a wee cup of tea and a Kitkat. What did you all make of that then? Share your wisdom here: Join the debate
1554: "Kilmarnock keeper Alan Combe hasn't had a save to make." BBC Radio Scotland summariser Stephen Frail at Rugby Park
1553: Commentator Paul Mitchell had a choking fit at Easter Road and sidekick Steve Cowan was forced to grab the mike and improvise while Mr Mitchell fumbled for a glass of water. Maybe he couldn't wait until half-time and had a sneaky bite of a pie?
1550: Half-time at Rugby Park. It's a stalemate as Killie and Hearts cancel each other out.
1548: Half-time at Hamilton. Mensing's penalty see the Accies hold a slender advantage at the break.
1546: That's tough luck for the Bairns. Steven Pressley remonstrates angrily with a touchline official on his way off the pitch at half-time.
1544: Goal! Rangers 1-1 Falkirk On the cusp of half-time the home side are awarded a rather soft penalty when Patrick Cregg nudges Kris Boyd from behind and the Gers striker falls to the turf like a clog-wearing funambulist. Boyd dusts himself down and tucks the spot-kick away with ease, turns, pumps his fist, thumps his chest and roars like a demented lion at the Rangers fans in the Copland Road stand. Falkirk's Lee Bullen is booked for dissent.
1541: Sasa Papac's speculative drive from long-range is well stopped by Robert Olejnik.
1539: Goal! Hamilton 1-0 Inverness CT Simon Mensing puts Hamilton ahead from the penalty spot after Grant Munro hauls down Joel Thomas, just as Inverness had been starting to assert themselves after early Accies dominance.
1538: "At last Hibs have found the back of the net. Well done Rob Jones leading by example like a good Capt should." Macker100 on My Sport Join the debate
1537: The game is halted at New Douglas Park as the net comes away from the goal behind Hamilton goalkeeper Tomas Cerny - but not because of any contact with the ball. The dastardly work of a poltergeist? Mr Claypole from Rentaghost perhaps? Or maybe it's just my imagination running away with me and it was merely a gust of wind...
1537: Almost simultaneously, at Ibrox and Rugby Park, Rangers midfielder Pedro Mendes and Killie forward David Fernandez spoon shots high over the bar when it looked easier to hit the target. The ball seemed to hit a divot which teed it up perfectly for Fernandez to use his left foot as a sand wedge and balloon it into the stratosphere.
1536: "Rangers have had so much possession but there's been no real test for Falkirk goalkeeper Robert Olejnik." BBC Radio Scotland commentator David Begg
1535: Kenny Miller pulls a shot wide of the target after Davis dinked a lovely pass through to him.
1534-and-a-half: Danny Invincibile should have scored after David Fernandez found him at the back post and but the Aussie pulled his header wide.
1534: Drama at Ibrox. Rangers claim for a penalty when Boyd tumbles under the close attentions of Olejnik in the box. I think the ref was spot on there; the speedy Rangers striker appeared to stand on Olejnik's foot and collapse in a crumpled heap. Kenny Miller is booked for protesting.
1533: Pascali follows that up with a wild volley from 60 yards. BBC Radio Scotland summariser Stephen Frail says it's lucky it didn't hit anyone in the stand or it might have killed them! Knocked their block off at least.
1532: Kilmarnock's Manuel Pascali is lucky to escape a booking after sliding in late on Hearts' Ugandan defender David Obua. Some tasty tackles flying in at Rugby Park.
1529: "Lovell has a knack of scoring against Rangers! He did it for us(Aberdeen) and he seems to be continuing it with Falkirk Always brings a smile to my face that" quigglesworth on My Sport Join the debate
1527: Kris Boyd volleys over as stubborn Falkirk continue frustrate Rangers at Ibrox. Dissension grows in the stands.
1525: Kenny Miller suddenly flashes a right-foot drive goalward but Olejnik athletically tips the ball over the bar.
1522: David Fernandez plays a great ball through for Killie team-mate Danny Invicibile to scamper onto but Eggert Jonsson gets in a tackle and Hearts keeper Jamie MacDonald collects easily.
1523: Rangers are continuing to stand off Falkirk when the Bairns come forward and the home side are struggling to string passes together in the final third.
1521: Steven Davis has a choice of whether to shoot or pass to a team-mate when Robert Olejnik's mishit clearance finds him in space on the edge of the Falkirk box; he foolishly chooses the latter but his chipped pass eludes Kris Boyd and trundles behind for a goal kick. That was a waste.
1520: "I am trying to think of a side making three consecutive passes yet. I thought the game would have settled down by now, but it's real scrappy" BBC Radio Scotland pundit Craig Paterson after 19 minutes of Hamilton versus Inverness.
1519: "The rain - or is it sleet - is pelting down here at Rugby Park." BBC Radio Scotland commentator John Barnes
1518: "Well Mr Sharp, Did Bougherra wear the armband, or not? Can he maybe wear a t-shirt and show it at the end of if he scores a goal? Do the same rules apply?" IBrokeTheBigScreen on My Sport Join the debate
The big Algerian is playing so I'm assuming he's not wearing an armband. As far as I can gather it would also be against the rules if he revealed a t-shirt with a slogan emblazoned on it. The Rules of the Game say:
"The basic compulsory equipment must not have any political, religious or personal statements. A player removing his jersey or shirt to reveal slogans or advertising will be sanctioned by the competition organiser.
The team of a player whose basic compulsory equipment has political, religious or personal slogans or statements will be sanctioned by the competition organiser or by FIFA."
1516: Goal! Hibernian 1-0 St Mirren Derek Riordan's corner is met in the air by the towering Rob Jones who glances a header past Saints keeper Howard. First blood to Hibs.
1514: Could Falkirk be about to win a league match at Ibrox for the first time since season 1925/26? Join the debate
1512: "I've just heard the score at Ibrox, and if Rangers fans were unhappy before, they'll be really unhappy now." BBC Scotland commentator Paul Mitchell
1510: Goal! Rangers 0-1 Falkirk The Bairns take a shock early lead at Ibrox when former Ger Neil McCann threads a lovely ball through to Steve Lovell who birls past Madjid Bougherra and sends a slightly sclaffed left-footer past Allan McGregor.
1508: "Judging by the way they've started, St Mirren are definitely here to make a game of it." BBC Scotland pundit Steve Cowan
What exactly does that mean Steve? What else are they supposed to make of today's proceedings, except a 'game of it'?
1507: BBC Radio Scotland's Pat Nevin is appalled by a Jonatan Johansson tackle at Easter Road. Apparently the meek, spindly-limbed Finn, who is a dead-ringer for Mark Lester who played the eponymous hero in the film ofOliver, was lucky to get away with an absurd challenge without censure from the ref.
1506: Referee Charlie Richmond asks for the match ball to be replaced at Rugby Park - 90 seconds into the match. Did it have a slow puncture?
1505: Rangers and Falkirk, bedecked in a rather natty white and red away kit, have begun at a high tempo at Ibrox with lots of quick passes but so far neither side has managed to conjure a clear-cut scoring chance.
1504: "Csaba Laszlo has made five changes today - from a winning team. One or two Hearts fans feel Csaba Laszlo's decisions are 'strange.'" BBC Radio Scotland commentator John Barnes
1502: Simon Mensing and Trent McClenahan are able to come back into the Hamilton side after missing last weekend's Scottish Cup win over Ross County through illness and injury.
1500: The games are underway at Hamilton and Hibernian. Still waiting to kick off at Rugby Park.
1459: No messing about at Ibrox; ref Mr Collum toots his whistle and we're off and running!
1456: At last we have the full team line-ups from Easter Road:
1455: Hibs midfielder Lewis Stevenson said he was so "embarrassed" by last weekend's Scottish Cup defeat by arch foes Hearts he couldn't face celebrating his 21st birthday. It's a crunch clash for the two sides; if Saints win then they'll leapfrog the Hibees. Who would have thought that eh?
1454: Hibs will have their work cut out today trying to break down a ridiculously stingy St Mirren defence that has only conceded two goals in six unbeaten games.
The Buddies back four makes Fagin seem as philanthropic as Bill Gates.
1453: "Rearrange the following words: Wool Murray Over Again Eyes Fleck Fans Playing Pulling. And that my friends is a sentence." IBrokeTheBigScreen on My Sport Join the debate
Can anyone crack the code? It's a tricky one; I think we'll have to bring those old WWII boffs out of retirement who solved the Enigma cipher...
1452: "Reckon Rangers will go out to prove a point, and beat Falkirk comfortably. But you never know, upsets happen. Anyhoo, only result I care about is a win for the Saints, and to get into that top six!!! You can do it boys." quickforaprop on My Sport Join the debate
1450: Hibernian are forced into four changes for today's clash with St Mirren. Regular keeper Yves Ma-Kalambay hobbled off in the Scottish Cup derby defeat last weekend so recent signing Grzegorz Szamotulski is handed his first start in goal. Darren McCormack, Steven Thicot and Colin Nish are also promoted to the starting XI.
Saints boss Gus MacPherson makes two changes to the side that won at Brechin in the Homecoming Scottish Cup on Tuesday night, with Garry Brady and Craig Dargo replacing Steven Thomson and Jim Hamilton.
1449: "Glad to see Walter has finally seen the light and given young John Fleck a start. The boy has looked a very handy player anytime I've seen him play! miguel pedro mendes on My Sport Join the debate
1448: More from McCoist: "All we would ask is for the supporters to please, please keep supporting the club."
1447: "That was the only number available so he's taken it." Falkirk manager John Hughes on Steven 'Maradona' Pressley's choice of squad number, 10.
1445: Hearts are trying to strike a deal to sign goalkeeper Balogh on permanent terms in the next 24 hours. He's currently on a six-month loan deal from Hungarian side Debrecen. Balogh unfortunately misses out today.
And Jambos boss Csaba Laszlo is urging Andy Driver to resist interest from England. But if someone slaps £2m on the Tynecastle table then the spring-heeled winger will be on his way.
1443: Both Killie and Hearts change keepers with Alan Combe coming in for Damien Rascle and young Jamie MacDonald replacing Janos Balogh.
1441: For those of you who have spent the last week holidaying on Mars, disgruntled Rangers fans launched a campaign this week accusing the club's board of a lack of ambition and poor forward planning.
In short, they're not happy about only winning two league titles from the last eight. So, the action group, which McCoist was eager to stress a few minutes ago represents a 'minority' of the Ibrox faithful, plan to hand out leaflets and display banners at today's match.
1440: More from Mr McCoist, this time on the delicate subject of the off-pitch hoo-ha surrounding the cunningly-named 'We Could Do Better' campaign: "Our supporters are the best in the business and we need them to get behind us. We're in the three domestic competitions and we're going to do our best to win them. (The detractors) are entitled to their opinion."
1439: Are Rangers fans excited at the prospect of seeing wee Fleck let loose on Falkirk? Join the debate
1438: "He's there because he deserves a chance. He's been absolutely outstanding in training. He's an obvious talent and I'm looking forward to seeing him." Rangers assistant manager Ally McCoist on John Fleck
1437: Richie Byrne is still not fit enough to make his Inverness debut. The former Aberdeen defender was signed by Craig Brewster earlier this month but is still not match fit.
Make no mistake, this is a real six-pointer if ever there was one. What a great cliche that is!
Inverness are looking to haul themselves off the foot of the table while if Accies can eke out victory they can put daylight between themselves and the toiling Highlanders in the battle for SPL survival.
1433: Hamilton will be without captain Alex Neil and top scorer Richard Offiong who are both suspended as they go for three home league wins in a row.
1432: Rangers centre-half Madjid Bougherra will not be allowed to take the field of play against Falkirk if he carries out his intention to wear a black armband in protest at what he calls the "barbaric" treatment of Palestine by Israel.
Freddy Kanoute, the Sevilla striker, was fined for revealing a t-shirt with a message of support for Palestine after scoring against Deportivo La Coruna last week.
1431: The diminutive Fleck became the youngest player ever to play in a Scottish Cup final when he came on as a substitute in the victory over Queen of the South at Hampden last May.
1430: Pressley is one of only five players in the post-war era to have played for both Rangers and Celtic. Can you name the other famous four? Join the debate
1429: How do you think this afternoon's action will pan out? Get ranting and raving here:
1428: Huffy Rangers fans who have been calling for an injection of youth in their team have had their wish granted: baby-faced forward John Fleck will make his full debut at Ibrox, replacing Steven Naismith on the left-hand side of the midfield.
1427: Veteran stopper Steven Pressley will make his debut for Falkirk after becoming an old Bairn earlier this week. Pressley, who will wear the sadly departed Russell Latapy's number 10 shirt, will be accommodated in a formation which BBC Reporting Scotland Chick Young has described as "controversial."
Don't tell me Pressley has been handed the role of midfield playmaker in the absence of the twinkle-toed Trinidadian? I suppose that would be called 'crazy' rather than 'controversial'
1425: Afternoon all! After the bedlam of the Scottish Cup last weekend it's back to the bread and butter of league action today.
Brew a nice pot of tea, put your feet up, stay with us all the way through until around 1700 GMT, and send in your comments via: My Sport and text on 80295.
