Arbroath maintained their hopes of staying the Second Division after completing a comfortable aggregate win over semi-final opponents Queen's Park.

Having led 4-0 from the first leg, the Red Lichties extended their advantage with Marc McCulloch's free-kick.

Mitchel Megginson found space to fire home Arbroath's second on the day.

Michael Daly pulled one back for Queen's Park and Allan Rattray's headed own goal from a Barry Douglas' cross gave the visitors a fruitless draw.

The Spiders will again face Third Division football next season while Arbroath will continue their fight against the drop when they contest the two-legged play-off final with Forfar Athletic.

The Loons were 3-2 aggregate winners over East Stirlingshire.
