Arsenal legend Charlie George gave BBC Sport's Chris Bevan a personal tour of Highbury before they beat Wigan 4-2 in the final game to be played at the famous old ground

The bronze bust of legendary former Arsenal manager Herbert Chapman stands at the entrance of Highbury and is an imposing sight for any visitors. The bust will take pride of place at Arsenal's new home at Ashburton Grove

Highbury's famous marble halls are an imposing sight. They are housed in the East Stand, which was completed in 1936

The dressing rooms were built in 1934 and have heated floors. Every manager from George Allison to Arsene Wenger has plotted their tactics on the blackboard

The old-style plunge bath at Highbury was converted into showers after a Fifa ruling 10 years ago. The other plunge bath was replaced by single baths

Sections of the Highbury turf are already up for auction. The pitch is one of the smallest in Europe but at the new stadium it will be 4x6 metres bigger

Fans can also bid for individual seats and many other souvenirs before the ground is converted into a housing development - Highbury Square

The art-deco style East Stand houses the club's offices, dressing rooms and the famous marble halls. Like the West Stand it will be converted into penthouses and apartments this summer

The North Bank was rebuilt in 1993 and seats 12,000 fans as well as housing the club shop and museum. It will be knocked down and replaced by flats and houses

The Clock End will also be demolished - but the famous clock is to be hung up outside Arsenal's new home

The golden boot Charlie George was given for scoring the winner in the 1971 FA Cup final takes pride of place in the club's museum. It will find a new home at Ashburton Grove
