Match of the Day's theme tune, called Match of the Day, was specially composed for the show by Barry Stoller.

The Football Focus theme tune for the 2008/09 season is called Kill The Director, by The Wombats.

The Final Score theme tune is called Theme From Sparta FC, by The Fall; the 'headline sequence' music is The Verve's Love Is Noise; and the 'upcoming programmes' trail is So Strong, by Meck featuring Dino.

MOTD2's goals round-up music is called The Fear, by Lily Allen (previously No You Didn't, No You Don't, by The Courteeners).

The track that accompanies Match of the Day's goal of the month this season is In This City, by Iglu & Hartly.
