Dean Holdsworth has signed his first two players this summer as Newport County prepare for life in the Blue Square Bet Premier next season.
Woking midfielder Guiseppe Sole has put pen to paper on a one-year deal along with Forest Green Rovers defender Oliver Thorne.
"Gez is a player that I have admired and monitored all season for his pace and ability," said Holdsworth.
"Ollie gives us another huge presence in a defensive role."
Meanwhile Holdsworth confirmed that defenders Chris Todd and Jamie Collins have agreed to stay with the runaway Blue Square South champions.
But Paul Cochlin, who was on of the first-team regulars this season, is expected to join Welsh Premier side Neath Athletic.
