Wales' Moscow venue debate over

Russia v Wales
Wales' last game in Russia was in Moscow in November 2003

Wales' World Cup qualifying game in Russia on 10 September will be played at Moscow's Lokomotiv Stadium.

The Russian Federation had refused to confirm that, with fears that the Luznikhi Stadium, which has an artificial pitch, would be used.

The match, which kicks off at 1600 BST, is the second of Wales' qualifying campaign after they open against Azerbaijan in Cardiff on 6 September.

The Lokomotiv Stadium was used when the two sides met in 2003.

606: DEBATE
Wales, under then-manager Mark Hughes, held the hosts to a goalless draw in Moscow in a play-off to make the Euro 2004 finals.

Welsh fans can now confirm travel plans and arrange visas for the trip to watch John Toshack's side in action.

Wales will play all their home games in 2010 World Cup qualifying at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

That is despite a plea from Toshack to increase Wales' chances by taking matches to smaller venues to discomfort visiting teams.

The remaining home fixtures at the Millennium Stadium are against Liechtenstein (11 October), Finland (3 March, 2009), Germany (1 April, 2009) and Russia (9 September, 2009).
