The New Saints are being told to "up the ante" after losing the top spot in the Welsh Premier League. The Saints were overtaken by Llanelli after their surprise 3-0 home defeat by Carmarthen on Saturday.
"Not only was this a disappointing result but the performance was also poor," manager Ken McKenna told the club's official website.
The pressure is now on to reclaim top spot and so claim Wales' only place in next season's Champions League.
The home defeat by Carmarthen was doubly disappointing, as it was the club's first defeat at Park Hall since moving to Oswestry at the start of the season.
Finishing second in the league would send the defending champions into the Uefa Cup instead and, while that is no disgrace, owner Mike Harris has made no secret of his desire to bring Champions League progress to the border club.
This season the Saints bowed out of the first qualifying round on the away goal rule to FK Ventspils.
