Supporters hit back over Bellamy
Craig Bellamy
Bellamy called fans "vicious"
Supporters have angrily hit back at Wales striker Craig Bellamy over his claims they were "vicious" during the 2-1 win over San Marino.

Vince Alm, Cardiff City supporters club spokesman, said Bellamy should have been more professional in his views.

He told BBC's 5live: "I take his point that we should support the team.

"But to come out and say we were vicious, I think he should be a lot more professional, keep his mouth shut and his views to himself."

Alm was one of those supporters mentioned by John Toshack who travelled to the Cyprus game, came home to do a shift at work, and then flew out to San Marino. And he said the chanting in the second half was down to "frustration".

"I love supporting my country and love football so I use all my holidays and spend all my money watching football," he said.

"I feel at times there is no spark in the team and they look lacklustre and not interested. That's how it appears to us on the sidelines.

"There's not a lot of passion in some of the players in the way they perform and I think a lot of the fans get frustrated by that.

"The first half the crowd was behind Wales, they played quite well actually, but it was the second half that it started.

"It wasn't aimed at any individuals, it was just frustration."
