FAW face legal threat over Moran
Rhyl striker Andy Moran (SportPixs)
TNS have taken the first steps to issuing legal action against the Football Association of Wales over the Andy Moran nandrolone case.

Striker Moran starred for Rhyl last season as they pipped TNS to both the Welsh Premier and the Welsh Cup.

In July, Moran was banned for taking nandrolone - but it emerged that the test had been carried out in March.

TNS have asked for an explanation for the delay and after getting no response have sent a legal letter to the FAW.

FAW guidelines were not followed in this case
TNS director Richard Hann
The FAW have 14 days to respond to the TNS enquiry.

"We feel that we have a claim as FAW guidelines were not followed in this case," TNS director Richard Hann told BBC Sport Wales.

"We played in the Uefa competitions this season rather than the Champion's League, and the prize money was less.

"Unless the FAW can produce evidence showing that proper procedure was followed then we intend to take further action."
