Stephen Garrett joined Newry from Linfield in 2008
Cliftonville have bolstered their attack for next season by signing Stephen Garrett from Newry City.
The 23-year-old former Linfield striker is delighted at the prospect of playing for the Solitude club.
"It is an exciting move for me and one I am very happy to have made," said the Northern Ireland U23 international.
"There is a lot of potential at the club - a young, vibrant squad who play the right way and I am really looking forward to being a part of that."
"Cliftonville finished second in the league last season and have qualified for Europe which, though an attraction in itself, it's where the club can go domestically which excites me," Garrett told the club website.
Reds boss Eddie Patterson believes Garrett will be a key player for the north Belfast side.
"We are thrilled to have secured the signature of one of the most sought after players in Irish League football," he said.
"Anyone who has seen him play over the last few years will know what Stephen will bring to Cliftonville. He is a quality player with pace to burn and a keen eye for goal.
"We feel we have specialised in the development of talented, ambitious youngsters at the club - Stephen fits right into that category and we look forward to him playing a key role at Solitude for a long time to come."
