 Stephen Garrett has moved from Linfield to Newry |
Newry City have finally landed striker Stephen Garrett from Linfield on a two-and-a-half-year contract. Garrett was a hit during a loan spell at Newry last year.
But he was recalled by Linfield boss David Jeffrey who indiacted he would not be letting any players go before the end of the season.
"Stephen weas reluctant to leave Linfield but all I can say is that he had good reasons which I respect," said Blues boss Jeffrey.
"Linfield have been well compensated for the time and effort that was taken in respect of Stephen?s development.
"It certainly has been a deal which has been helpful to all parties."
