Kyle McVey and Johnny Watt sign new deals at Coleraine
Johnny Watt and Kyle McVey are staying with Premiership side Coleraine
Defender Kyle McVey and midfielder Johnny Watt have agreed new contracts with Premiership club Coleraine.
McVey has signed a two-year deal while Watt had agreed to stay on at The Showgrounds for one season.
Coleraine manager David Platt has also revealed that former Dungannon Swifts and Glenavon striker Richard Gibson is not being offered a new deal.
Platt added that he hoped to quickly secure new deals with several other out-of-contract players.
Coleraine were disappointed to narrowly miss out on a place in the top six of the Carling Premiership, but Platt believed steady progress was being made.
"I think we have shown this season that we are capable of competing with the teams at the top and, despite having a depleted squad, we have done well in our games since the split," Platt told the club's official website.
"We finished with 51 points last year, this season we have 57, so to not finish higher is strange and a bit disappointing.
"The year before we finished with 40 points, so it is progres from that point of view, although we always want to finish in the top six."
