Rory Patterson finished his Bannsiders career with a 41st goal of the season in the New Grosvenor draw.
The Whites dominated the first half and Gary Thompson hit the woodwork while Gary Browne headed just over.
Patterson, who is joining Glentoran, scooped the ball over keeper Philip Matthews for a 41st minute opener.
Distillery continued to press and they were finally rewarded two minutes from time with Glenn Ferguson outjumping McLaughlin to head home.
