Cliftonville won the battle with Glentoran for second place in the Carling Premiership with their first league win at the Oval in 11 years.

Johnny Taylor was red-carded after tripping Liam Boyce as he was about to score and George McMullan netted from the resulting penalty on 21 minutes.

Ronan Scannell made it 2-0 with an emphatic finish after 43 minutes.

McMullan sealed victory for the Reds five minutes after the break when his curling free-kick hit the net.
