Glentoran beat Linfield 2-1 at Windsor Park to reach the Co-operative Cup semi-finals on away goals

Goals from Dean Fitzgerald and Daryl Fordyce saw Glentoran make the Co-operative Insurance Cup semi-finals on away goals against Linfield.

One down from the first leg, Glentoran made it 1-1 on aggregate in first-half stoppage-time when Fitzgerald netted after a fine move.

A superb 16-yard finish from Fordyce put the Glens 2-0 up on the night.

Curtis Allen swept in Linfield's goal two minutes from the end but the Blues could not find the second they needed.

In the first half Glentoran's Johnny Black shot wide while Colin Nixon headed over from a Black corner.

For Linfield, Allen saw a free-kick saved by Glens keeper Elliott Morris.

Keith Gillespie then put a volley wide for the Glens before Fitzgerald's breakthrough score.

Gary Hamilton played the ball through to Michael Halliday who rolled it back for Fitzgerald to get behind the home defence to shoot past Stuart Addis.

Fordyce got Glentoran's second in the 51st minute with a great shot from Fitzgerald's pass.

In the 88th minute, Philip Lowry found Allen who scored with a 15-yard left-foot shot for Linfield.

The Glens join Portadown, Coleraine and Dungannon Swifts in the last four.
