Former Portadown midfielder Michael Collins is on the lookout for a new club after being released by League of Ireland Premier Division side Dundalk.
The 32-year-old is leaving Oriel Park following weekend talks and the departure of manager Sean Connor.
Glenavon boss Marty Quinn is reportedly interested in bringing Collins back to the Irish League.
"I am available to talk to any club and I am keen to play again," Collins told the Daily Mirror.
He added: "I renewed my hunger for the game at Dundalk and I am disappointed that I am no longer involved there because it is a great club.
"I enjoyed full-time football and my fitness has benefited as a result."
Collins played for Cliftonville during Quinn's spell as Reds manager.
The Belfast man moved from Newry City to Dundalk in February.
