Michael Collins is leaving Newry City for Dundalk

Newry City midfielder Michael Collins is on the verge of signing for Eircom League club Dundalk.

The clubs have agreed a transfer, and Collins has completed a medical, so all that remains is for the player to agree terms with the Lilywhites.

Collins will be the second player to leave Newry in a week following the deal which saw Sean Friars move to Institute on a two-year contract.

Newry signed Paul Keenan and Darren Cassidy during the transfer window.
