Dungannon continue their impressive start to the Carling Premiership season by earning a 1-1 draw against champions Glentoran
Champions Glentoran had to settle for a point against overnight leaders Dungannon Swifts at Stangmore Park.
Dungannon went into the lead in the lead on 13 minutes when Michael Ward beat Paul Leeman on the left to cross for Marc McCann to head in.
Home defender Adam McMinn was sent-off for two yellow cards after a needless foul early in the second half.
Daryl Fordyce headed in the equaliser from Keith Gillespie's cross 15 minutes from the end.
Timmy Adamson then missed a good chance for Dungannon when he headed over.
Kyle Neill almost snatched a late winner for the Glens but keeper Alvin Rouse made a fantastic save.
"We should have gone on to win the game but Dungannon's keeper made some fantastic saves," said Glentoran winger Gillespie.
"For a while it looked like we would never score but in the end we are disappointed.
"It was my first 90 minutes since December and I should be up to speed in a few weeks.
"I always wanted to get back playing again. I am passionate about football and I want to help Glentoran win the league again."
