Glentoran moved to within two points of league leaders Crusaders with a 1-0 win at the Coleraine Showgrounds, courtesy of a first-half Andy Waterworth strike.
Michael Halliday headed the ball down for Waterworth to beat Davy O'Hare with a rising shot into the roof of the net from a tight angle in the 12th minute.
Halliday and Keith Gillespie also had chances while Tommy McCallion lobbed over and Rory Patterson shot wide.
David McClements and Gareth Tommons had chances to equalise after half-time.
Substitute McClements shot straight at a defender from a Stephen Carson cross and Tommons saw his effort blocked by Elliott Morris.
Patterson fired his free-kick into the defensive wall in the first half and soon after the break, referee Alan Black waved away penalty appeals after Jason Hill appeared to impede Tommons inside the area.
Glentoran's best chance of the second period fell to Gary Hamilton but he was off target, as was Patterson with an attempt at the other end.
Halliday also had an opportunity to extend the Glens' lead but he blazed over from five yards out after meeting Hamilton's cross.
