Tony Grant holds off a challenge from Bangor Stephen Whiteside

Bangor stayed one point ahead of Glenavon in the lower half of the JJB Sports Premiership thanks to Marty Verner's equaliser at Clandeboye Park.

Verner headed in after Mark Magennis had sent a strong volley across the face of the Glenavon goal.

Marty Quinn, who quit as Bangor boss in February, saw his Glenavon side take the lead when Adrian Harper tucked in at the far post in the 66th minute

Glenavon's Tony Grant and Eamon Murray had efforts come off an upright.
