Paul Carville's injury-time free-kick earned Glenavon a point in the basement battle and kept Dungannon Swifts on the bottom of the table.
A Dungannon win would have dropped Glenavon to the bottom as the Swifts looked set to claim the points after Ryan McCreadie's 85th-minute goal.
Neil McCafferty headed Dungannon ahead a minute before the break before Willo McDonagh levelled on 77 minutes.
McCreadie seemed to have won it for the Swifts before Carville's late strike.
Ryan Mullan and Timmy Adamson tested Robert Robinson in the first half while Gary Liggett went close for Glenavon at the other end.
Swifts did take the lead a minute before the break when McCafferty nodded home Ryan Mullan's cross from six yards.
Glenavon still had time to fashion a chance before the interval but Tony Grant headed over after Tim McCann's shot had been saved by Dwayne Nelson.
Liggett shot wide after the break while Robertson had to move smartly at the other end to deny Mark McAllister.
Glenavon levelled midway through the second half as McDonagh lobbed into an empty net after Dwayne Nelson had been challenged by Trevor Molloy.
Dungannon appeared to have claimed the points when substitute McCreadie headed McAllister's cross past Robinson five minutes from time.
But Carville had other ideas as his free-kick flew past Nelson in injury-time.
